Kelsey Scult is a New Orleans-based multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker. Her work explores the physical intersection of desire and decay, contemporary intimacy, reimagining community archives, and the afterlives of objects. Food and grief are her muses.

Films Kelsey has produced and directed have played at Sundance, SXSW, Outfest, Atlanta Film Festival, Prospect.6, and more. She is an alumna of the New Orleans Film Society’s Southern Producers Lab, The Gotham’s Narrative Lab, the Southern Foodways Alliance Filmmaker Residency, and the Joan Mitchell Center’s Artist Residency. She is a member of The Front Gallery collective and has exhibited her work nationally and abroad, including locally at the Contemporary Arts Center and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. She received her BA from Oberlin College in Studio Art and her MFA from the University of New Orleans in Film Production. She is a current Artist in Residence at the New Orleans Museum of Art for the 2026-2027 Creative Assembly.
